My research is about how assessment data are turned into measures to help clinicians, care partners and patients can make better treatment decisions, together. Specifically, my research addresses measuring recovery of consciousness in patients with severe brain injury, describing and measuring the process of shared decision-making, and standardizing and calibrating functional performance assessments to enable comparison of patient outcomes across health care settings.
