RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Artino’s research lies at the intersection of learning science and health professions education. His primary interests include survey design and measurement, program evaluation, motivation and self-regulated learning, educational outcomes, and the responsible conduct of research. He is particularly known for advancing evidence-informed approaches to the design, interpretation, and use of self-report data in medical education.
A complementary line of inquiry examines how educational structures, mentoring, and institutional context shape long-term learner and faculty outcomes. More recently, his work has explored research ethics, scholarly authorship, peer review, and the responsible integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into educational research and evaluation.
